Blackfeet began his racing career on October 27, 1961, at El Comandante Racetrack in Carolina, Puerto Rico. On November 29 of that year, he broke his maiden, going six furlongs in 1:13 3/5. Blackfeet went on to become a graded stakes performer and one of the best of his generation in Puerto Rico. He won or placed in 51 of his 66 career starts and in 2 of his 3 stakes races. Blackfeet finished a strong second in both the 1962 Clásico Eduardo Cautiño Insúa (G3) and the 1963 Copa 4 de Julio (G1).
In June of 1965, Blackfeet retired and began stallion duties at Potrero Carlos A. Matos in Guayama, Puerto Rico. As a sire, his accomplishments were modest, producing only two stakes horses. However, Blackfeet's blood flows through other notable racehorses, including 2006 Puerto Rican Derby winner Gold Gift. Blackfeet is also the great-grandsire of Bancada, graded stakes winner in 2004 at El Nuevo Comandante Racetrack (now Camarero Racetrack) in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico.
